Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The car had done 3,000 in the 2 years before i had it and i swear was the worse for it as all the problems were in the first 4 weeks of ownership and I suspect as a result of it sitting around yearning to be royally thrashed every now and then....since using it it has run like a dream with only a routine service along the way

Someone who uses their car as Porsche intended gets  from me but 19,000 miles is a lot of miles in 6 months
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just wanted to say hello to all on this forum....Hello .
Been reading for a while now having aquired my turbo in March this year and mightily impressed with the level of knowledge contained. It is good to have somewhere to go when the paranoia sets in every time the car makes a new and interesting noise (most of them imagined along with the imagined catastrophic effect on the wallet)
So far so good (actually OMG this thing is proper quick) with minor MAF and diverter problems + obligatory replacement rads (mesh now on car) all done on warranty.
I have come back to Porsche after a 4 year break and am having to tell myself every day that i haven't bought the wrong car, reason for that....... I've done 19,000 miles in it since March...drive it every day, committed to it being my only car and to never think about depreciation or the price of super unleaded!!!
Just one question....Mad or not???? :dont know:
Thanks for comments.........head says 'David for christ sake buy a cheap diesel or nick your sons mini more often'
heart says....put foot down and enjoy the ride...

Welcome Orch1  19k miles in 7 months is a heck of a lot but totally reflects your enjoyment of the car! Any nice pictures for us to ogle at? We never tire of looking at pics especially if they're Turbos.

My second 911..... i had a fleeting affair with a 996 carrera 2 about 4 years ago but i broke her heart  (small matter of a tree jumping out on me whilst i was exploring the rear weight biased handling characteristics!!)
I had the 'buy an early 997 or get a 996 turbo' debate and decided on the basis of no such thing as too fast and the inhenrent strength of the turbo engine...no regrets as yet
