Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

You'll not get 11's on the back without some arch mods unless you're prepared to run the car higher and with some fairly big camber numbers.

Suggestion

If you're running Mk2 6 pot calipers on the front, you won't be able to remove the OE wheel spacers to gain more arch clearance.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi all, maybe one of you can answer my question: I want to purchase a set of BBS E88 for my 996GT3 MK1 but in what size? 8,5 x 18 ET 45 or 9 x 18 ET 50 both with 235 tyres for the front and 11 x 18 ET 63 with 295 for the back , will that fit? I don't want to roll the fenders. Hope someone can help me out. Edited by EricNL on Saturday 11th April 17:32 Edited by EricNL on Saturday 11th April 17:33

POST 2Original post

Drop DAB964 off here a PM, I've helped him bolt a set of E88's onto his Mk1 today. He'll be able to give you the specs of his wheels (8.5 X 18 and 10.5 X 18 IIRC) not sure about the ETs, but DAB should have them to hand. You'll not get 11's on the back without some arch mods unless you're prepared to run the car higher and with some fairly big camber numbers. Note too that if you're planning on running Cup 2's in the sizes you've stated, they're very square shouldered and wide section compared to the equivalent PS2, SS, Continental etc. If you're running Mk2 6 pot calipers on the front, you won't be able to remove the OE wheel spacers to gain more arch clearance. Here's mine on 9 & 11 LM's, the rear arches have been heavily "massaged". : Click on images for full size higher res versions. Edited by Slippydiff on Sunday 12th April 00:48

POST 3Original post

My BBS E88 rims are 8.5 x 18 front and 10.5 x 18 rear, the offsets are not stamped in to wheels however I was advised by Gert at Carnewal that they were ET40 front and ET52 rear. My arches are not rolled and the wheels fit perfectly with the OEM spacers removed.

For reference, if it's any help, on a mk2 GT3 I run the following with BBS LM wheels: 9x18 ET50 at the front 11x18 ET56 at the rear The fronts have 7mm spacers to clear the brake callipers

To all: thanks for your input!

POST 8Original post

Eric let us know what you ordered, i'm quite tempted by a set. Where are you sourcing them from? cheers

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I want to buy them through Carnewal but have to decide on the color first: silver or gold. I like the centers in gold but I'm afraid it looks a bit over the top on a yellow car.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
