Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I rang Porsche Exeter who quoted £199 inc.VAT to use the 4 discs to upgrade and want the car in for "best part of a day"

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Aplogy as this has probably been done to death elsewhere on here. Anybody out there who has actually had the PCM3 upgrade to get the 7 digit post codes? I'd like to know of, besides updating the Nav with postcodes, is there any other upgrade to the PCM itself? I rang Porsche Exeter who quoted £199 inc.VAT to use the 4 discs to upgrade and want the car in for "best part of a day" When I queried length of time the car would be required I was quoted "often when we get to disc 3 it will crash out and we have to start again" Anybody has actual experience of this upgrade and your comments please.

Magic 919 I can now understand they take hours. Can you enlighten me on Blue Skies and Clouds comment? Or was that simply you watching blue skies and clouds while you waited?

POST 5Original post

I was hoping the maps would be better in Europe, but still quite out of date. Having done it on one car, I didn't bother updating the other one.
