I'm in the DFW area so if it stops in Houston first.......does my car get off there?......or does Porsche only use certain ports to offload?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

26 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Got a car on the Equuleus Leader (Patch2 and AtlasCroc) going into San Diego? The projected arrival date improved from 1/26 to 1/21.

POST 2Original post

Great! Mine improved by one day as well. Must be good weather or good karma? At any rate, good to hear. Aloha Russ

POST 4Original post

Thanks for the update Santa Fe! I had a 'chat' with my dealer on Saturday........needless to say they will be pinpointing the exact location of my car ASAP. Only Monday being MLK day may stand in the way.

POST 6Original post

Cool that's the one!!!! Boy's we are getting closer..... Patch

POST 7Original post

Does anyone know what the average time spent in port? Thanks, Patch

POST 8Original post

The larger time frame to overcome is the backlog in PDI. That has been taking more than a week it seems with all the Caymans to deal with. Hopefully they will be caught up by the time ours roll off.

POST 9Original post

Boys, (chrismillion, Atlas, Santa Fe etc..) I've got an update on the ship, it will stop in Houston first. It will arrive in San Diego on the 22nd or 23rd of January w/ 2,400 total cars not only Porsche's. It will take approx. 5 days to get the cars out of the port and on the way to our prospective dealer's. Thanks to mpollard this info was available (the guys an animal w/ this stuff). This is accurate info.... Patch

POST 10Original post

I'm not sure Porsche has any idea where the cars are. I was told mine would be in San Diego the 12th or 13th. I was out of town for 4 days. When I got off the plane this afternoon my phone rang and it wasmy saleman saying my car had been delivered Sat the 14th. I had a Dec build with Feb delivery. The salesman said when he checked my status it still showed ONVESL. I will admit it was a very pleasant surprise since i was expecting end of Jan. or early Feb. I'd like to pick it up tomorrow but they have too many cars to prep so it will be Wed. Still GREAT news. I hope they'll take my rubber check.

POST 11Original post

POST 17Original post

POST 18Original post

Alright well just trying to have a little fun. I just found out today my car is on a ship, no clue which one or where but it is on a boat . Said approx 3-4 weeks i should have one. Well good luck with your new rides i will be waiting with envy.

POST 19Original post

Patch, My VIN is 1722 and I'm in Phoenix, Arizona. AZ PS: Exec If some of the things I'm hearing are true you may not have to wait that long. Cars seem to be coming faster than expected unless you have some unusual options. Edited by - AzCayman on 01/17/2006 09:50:10 AM

POST 20Original post

I was told today my car is still is Germany. Deposit on 6/18, ordered on 8/24. I guess they don't know the cars are built in Finland! I wonder what they will say when I show up with a picket sign marching up and down in front of the dealer? Maybe carrying a burning Porsche flag.... No, I'm not joking.

POST 21Original post

Chris, if your car is really in Zuffenhausen then it must be to fit one of the items you ordered like the PCCB, do you think?

POST 22Original post

I've got a U VIN... so I think they're just full of it. But who knows, could be the illuminated entry guards too. <table style="WIDTH: 48pt; BORDER-COLLAPSE: collapse" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" width="64" border="0" x:str=""> <colgroup><col style="WIDTH: 48pt" width="64"></col></colgroup> <tbody> <tr style="HEIGHT: 12.75pt" height="17"> <td style="BORDER-LEFT-COLOR: #d4d0c8; BORDER-BOTTOM-COLOR: #d4d0c8; WIDTH: 48pt; BORDER-TOP-COLOR: #d4d0c8; HEIGHT: 12.75pt; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; BORDER-RIGHT-COLOR: #d4d0c8" width="64" height="17">wp0ab29836u781620</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> I'll wear mypaintball getup- camo pants and a yellow t-shirt with a happy face on one side and the words, 'Happiness is a belt-fed weapon.' on the other. Bring a radio, blast Dead Kennedy's... Edited by - chrismillion on 01/17/2006 12:16:14 PM

POST 23Original post

Could someone confirm if VIN 1634 is on this boat? I've got an on vessel date of January 5th and it's going to San Diego. Thanks.

POST 24Original post

Chris, My dealer told me they ship out of Germany, dosen't make sense but he has been right all the way so far. Russ

POST 25Original post

Chris, Show-up in Newport like that and you will make the LA Times.

POST 26Original post

slc, You are on this ship. The cars will be in San Diego on the 23rd and allow approx. 5 days to your dealer. Patch
