This is not a probability of success.

I haven't driven it probably 2 months (Winter in PA) so in preparation for Spring I thought I'd take a look at the engine, check the PS fluid, give the engine a wipe down, etc.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Hi All, Happy Friday! So I had the day off and thought it would be a good idea to give some love to the car today. I have a 2006 Boxster S with about 15K miles on it. I haven't driven it probably 2 months (Winter in PA) so in preparation for Spring I thought I'd take a look at the engine, check the PS fluid, give the engine a wipe down, etc. I popped the engine cover off and this hose caught my eye.. The fact that it looks like it is oily and basically not the same light brown dust color of the rest of the engine. I poked around with the flashlight and I don't see any reason why it should look "wet" as everything else looks fine. It's also odd that it's such a line of demarcation between a dry and wet look. Any thoughts? Thanks, Scott

did you really just copy and paste your post from General to this sub-forum? Instead of spamming, you could just bump your original thread too. Good luck finding an answer that you like though, hopefully it's nothing serious
