I'm currently replacing all my exhaust system and anything else easy to do whilst the back end is off.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

In a bit of a pickle currently!
I'm currently replacing all my exhaust system and anything else easy to do whilst the back end is off.
One thing i noticed was i seemed to be missing some rear heat shields which sit between the body and the exhaust. (See picture)
As such, I did a quick search of Porsche breakers and found a chap who said he had the correct part numbers and both were in excellent condition. Great I thought.
So, exchanged money via Paypal and awaited them being delivered. Which they have been...
However, the Porsche breaker has sent me what I'd call the bumper heat shields which sit between the bumper and the exhaust. (See other pic)
I quoted part no's 99650547700 & 99650547800. These to my knowledge sit between the exhaust and the bodywork.
He's now saying I'm wrong and the parts i want are what's he's said, he's said I've sent you exhaust heat shields and that's what's you've got and 'there's no such thing as bumper heat shields" - therefore no refund being offered as yet. He's adamant I'm wrong and he's right even after me sending him these pics, my original email and the design911 schematics!
Am I going mad or am I correct?!! Happy to be wrong and will swallow the cost if so!
Help!
P.S anyone want a set of cheap exhaust bumper shields??!
Im not aware of different Parts for different engine sizes .. i thought they were all the same .
No.1 is the bumper heat shield .. its attatched to the outer heat shield with x1 T30 torx screw .
No.2 is the outer heat shield .
Inner shield is shown on your pict .
Inner and outer are obviously different .
Part numbers are for an inner heat shield .. if he has sent you the one thats in the plastic houseing then its wrong .. but you know that already !
