I know the price is kind of steep but then again how much would a good set of xenons set us back?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

As I eagerly await my new upgrades to be done at AutoArt (AP Exhaust, K&N Intake and Power Chips ECU Flash) I was searching for a different option on my headlights. I had them painted about 6 months and even though at the time I loved them, recently looking for a change. Any thoughts about these LED headlights I found on EBAY?

POST 2Original post

Wow..these will start new debate here guarantee!!!Great find!! Just wonder if they xenon. I like them..but not that price much.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I know the price is kind of steep but then again how much would a good set of xenons set us back? I love the look of the new Audi lights and I really think these lights would really modernize the front of our cars. I think I might go for it!

POST 4Original post

I'd buy it. The only thing I hate about it is the price hahaha. The LED tails started pretty high but now they're down to under 300. I'll wait for a few reviews on fitment and wait for the price to come down a little.

POST 5Original post

I can't find them on ebay. What's the item number?

POST 6Original post

Price is rediculous- but again Xenons new for our car are expensive to begin with..i also see those are only for 1999-2001 models

POST 7Original post

Where's the price?! I can't help but feel I'm missing something here in the post! ;-)

POST 9Original post

Got it. I had run the same search starting at the top page of ebay motors and didn't get any hits. Re-ran it at the top page of ebay and got the hit. Thanks, dude. J.D.

POST 10Original post

Yeah looks good!! But ehhhhm... where the hell do you guys see this one ebay!? "cause I can't find it anywhere. How about a link...

POST 11Original post

they look nice , but is there any issues like the LED tail lights

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

POST 14Original post

I think they are awesome! The price is out of control though. I will wait and see if any other vendors pick this up and maybe we can get a group buy going like we did with the LED Tail lights. Good find though......

POST 15Original post

Agreed, it's awesome. I've created a search on e-bay if these ever turn up again. Yep it's pricey but would be a very rare look.

POST 16Original post

Yikes the price is pretty extreme! Looks good though.

POST 18Original post

I can see headlight warning light issue with this which will lead to cruise control issues and eventually affect the IMS and RMS in some way....

POST 20Original post

I like them! I don't know if I am crazy about the positioning of the l.e.d.'s though. They might look a little funny coming down the road at night. They should just put a strip across the bottom section of the headlight.

POST 21Original post

Is that $1800 per pair or per side? + installation Might as well do the whole front, more pricy but looks great, check it: http://www.wickedmotorworks.com/part...p?partid=10098

POST 22Original post

I wonder if anybody is making led inserts than can be attached on the slit in the bumper for our cars... much like the ones on the new 997.2 cars... that would be pretty cool; and you can keep your original headlights...

POST 23Original post

did some1 buy these yet? I wanna see how they look installed

POST 24Original post

Straight out of Fast and the Furious. Dr. Ferry is turning in his grave right now.

POST 26Original post

those look mad cheesy IMO. ive seen all these cars(benz, bmws, dodge chargers......im serious!) on the road with the same mod around Chicago trying to recreate the same look as the audi's. u want that look? go buy an audi. i think your the other 911 that people mistake as me. they keep asking if I was somewhere but i dont drive my car during the week. they always say "but i saw the headlights and lights dark so i thought it was you". I see Larry is doing your mods. Nice, tell i said hello.

POST 28Original post

Seems there's a love/hate relationship for these LED headlights. Although I've not seen them re-appear in eBay, I did come across a Japanese website may be stocking them. [scroll down almost to the bottom] http://www.aoyama-pitin.co.jp/porsche/porsche.htm Says it's new and no price yet. If they're not too pricey (happy to pay up to what those on eBay went for), I may consider picking them up. Will keep you guys updated if I do.

POST 30Original post

TechArt makes LED DRLs that go into they openings on the front bumper. They are expensive, and they require professional installation to function like OEM lights (when you put the turn signal on for the right side, as an example, the right side LED strip is deactivated until the turn signal stops).

POST 32Original post

AnakChan You did some good searching as I could not find these on any sites besides the original eBay posting. The eBay seller said he should have a few more in stock in late Feb. I know all this is a personal opinion, but these look bad ***!!!

POST 34Original post

Ya not sure if that’s my car that they are mistaking as my wing definitely sticks out and I’m lucky to drive it once or twice a month in the Summer. Ya Larry has definitely received a lot of my business this last year. It’s been fun!

POST 35Original post

VIPR, great find on the different options offered. I didn't realise that (still like the all white though). I'll try to talk to the JP shop soon, but knowing this country it'll probably be ridiculous price. I'm hoping that Oz eBay seller pulls through for his Feb prediction - even with shipping, it'll be cheaper than local JP prices.

POST 36Original post

What is the link to these lights? I cannot find where to purchase these. What is the price.

POST 37Original post

Who is the manufacture? Whoever knows anything about these light, manufacture, jobber cost, etc, let me know. email me: [email removed]

POST 38Original post

I found these originally on EBay, seller had 3 for sale and they all sold for $1700+, there is a site as stated in the previous posts but they don’t have any in stock yet.

POST 39Original post

I don't understand why some company doesn't make the headlights like the 997 but than make the corner that doesn't allow the lights to be round Seperated by a thin defined line and a material that is able to be painted. So it transforms the mk1 to look like a cross between 997 and 993. I'd buy em!

POST 40Original post

If you look at the 993 all they pretty much did to the 996 mk1 was turn the inner part of the fender into a headlight to get the 996 headlights.

POST 41Original post

Quotes source post: 3099499

Quote: So true, I noticed that too. Someone just needs to come up with a 997 headlight adapter set to mimick the mounting like that of the 993 model. That way you get to keep your factory fenders, hood, bumper and be able to get the round light look again with least hassles.

POST 42Original post

Quotes source post: 3096835

Quote: I don't think it's 2 different options. DRL mode is with white led's and when you turn on the signal, that bottom portion blinks yellow like the so called "switchbacks". You'd have to confirm with the seller but I think that's what it is.

POST 43Original post

Quotes source post: 3096835

Quote: Options? Nono, the yellow ones are the indicators, white leds are DRL. Also, on that jap-page, the Cayenne headlights are 18900 yen, or around 230 usd. The 996 ones should be pretty cheap.

POST 44Original post
