Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Hi guys, I recently changed the serpentine belt on my '05 BS. Easy job, but afterwards I would hear what I can only describe as an empty plastic bottle going "dokk" hitting the bulkhead behind the passenger seat every time I would brake. While this is concerning, nothing else appears to be happening. Car drives perfectly fine. Before I dive back in to the engine compartment, does anybody know what could be causing the noise, and if so what I should be looking for?

POST 2Original post

Well the obvious conclusion would be that you left something behind in there when you changed the belt. I'm afraid you'll need to pull that cover off to see what's happening.
