Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

My non- pasm 06 cayman s shocks are pretty worn out and need replacement real soon.Unfortunately, that's no stock for blistein B6. Am i ok to go with B8 with oem springs? not looking to lower the car. thanks for your help.

POST 2Original post

el1818: I've replaced my '07's (non- PASM ) struts with B8s. I believe the factory struts are Bilstein B6s, tuned to Porsche specs. In any case, the B8s and factory struts share identical interface geometry and piston stroke, and are therefore interchangeable. FWIW, you may want to consider Cayman R or Boxster Spyder struts. Neither were available when I changed my setup, otherwise that's what I'd have done. But I do like the B8s very much. AFAIK, the B8 strut is identical to the B14 (PSS9) strut, without the damping adjustments. You said that you aren't interested in lowering your car, but I'd strongly suggest you reconsider "while you're in there." The CR and/or BS suspension is a drop-in replacement, and the 20-mm drop (10mm if you already have PASM ) is moderate and still very streetable. Just my $0.02. Best regards, Croc'ed
