Took out the pop-up rollbars (lost a crazy 50-60lbs) And changed the factory seats for sparco carbons (70-80lbs) All of the preceeding I did myself and it was well worth it.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Believe the motor is running $70k installed from Porsche! Further, I'd think you'd need to upgrade the gearbox as well, not to mention the DME among many other things.
Have you considered replacing the 3.4 Litre engine, transmission and DME with the GT3 variant?

Good luck.
I lightened my car but since I consider myself a pro
I just did it. I took out my rear seats, seatbelts (30-40lbs)
Took out the pop-up rollbars (lost a crazy 50-60lbs) And changed the factory seats for sparco carbons (70-80lbs) All of the preceeding I did myself and it was well worth it. About the rollbar. If I crash I'm probably dead but I figure the way that I drive I'd be dead anyway. It can easily be reinstalled. As for the seats. They are red and look BAD! Get compliments on them all the time. Screw the 2800$$ a piece GT3 seats when you can spend 1000$$ for the pair of sparcos which look better and are a couple of pounds lighter.
I also shed some weight when I went with the Brembo set-up although I don't see how since the rotors and calipers are so huge, but says so BREMBO..........I also Went from 19" HRE 245 front 335 rear to 18" Techart (I HATE THEM) 235 front 285 rear. I'm not even sure if I lost unsprung there since spacers had to be installed to get the right fitment for the brakes. Check out the seats, they are bad. Brackets have to be customized(no big deal) 1000$$ installed..... I did notice a pretty big difference. My car is maxed for power now so my tuner DAN AT BY DESIGN told me where I can save weight. I can sqawk in second everytime.... Hope I helped you out
