Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I've been struggling to decide. At the moment I can't see past white with silver wheels for some reason. Think because it reminds me of my 2007 997 GT3 which I loved.

So IF you had a slot for a GT3 not touring what colour would you choose from only the standard in other words not PTS?
...Shark Blue looks amazing but maybe too many cars in that colour?
...White just a little understated...I love white and looks great but maybe not on a GT3?
...Black looks amazing but is it a car you would want to own and keep clean?
...Lava Orange says "I've arrived" always think of it as an RS colour which is good but then its extra money for the paint plus you can't get the stitching, chrono and spedo in orange
...Python green...costs £2525 for the paint but you can get seatbelts and dials in Python
...GT Silver classic do like the colour but it is little to understated for the GT3 looks lighter on the config than IMO in real life
...Crayon....looks great under bright lights and in the sun. However doesn't always look good when its dull and was better when it was more exclusive but now its available on all models pretty much
...Guards Red...classic Porsche colour. don't have to pay extra for the paint like most the others and can get seatbelts, dials, etc to match
...Gentian...lovely colour but personally not one for me on the GT3
...Agate Grey...very nice colour not too loud looks lighter on the config than IMO in real life
...Racing Yellow...I really like it. I think it suits the car its a base colour so not cost extra and you can get seatbelts and dials in yellow
Views/thoughts/opinions? anything I've missed?
Guards, silver wheels.....yum.

I've gone for Carbon Steel Grey Metallic PTS.

Looks lovely - a bit similar to Atlas Grey, but more grey, less blue?

Not touring, sorry missed that.
The Porsche Australia 70th GT3 in Fish Silver Grey Metallic looks pretty cool imho.
Looks like plain old Rhodium Silver to me, can’t see the difference….
White. Just looks purposeful in white. Less is more . Ages well also.
A Touring . Agate. Steath spec as befits a touring.
Black alloys on both.
Pts would be arena red . Again black alloys .
Mind you my dream car would be a 992turbo coupe in macadamia on std alloys so what do i know!

Lava Orange stitching, among many other colours is available in the 'Interior Trim Package with decorative stitching and embroidery in contrasting colour'
...chrono and spedo would be fine in black (or white maybe) coloured dials are too distracting...but if you flash the cash you could probably get those, at least orange seat belts, as a CXX option.
Therefore, Lava orange for me.
Shark blue, like how i commented about Gentian blue, will grow to become boring IMO.
Again what I sense here is yet more evidence that folk don't study every single option on the configurator - seems like people rush through it. Take your time, there are many hidden options in there that seemingly few realise.

I know you said not PTS but here's a few original colours I saw today....all lined up for a photo which is handy.
One on the left is Irish Green
Great pic...... but Green has been done to death now. Orange is the new Black.

Just to be clear are you saying Lave Orange is a great colour to have? or too common?
Thanks

You sure you don't want PTS?
As I mentioned earlier, that's what the latest UK press car looks like. My mate has an order in for a 992 Turbo S in Rubystone but I think he needs to see a car in the flesh to make a final decision.

I suspect they've done that to promote the reference to historic colours for PTS:

Doesn't mean it looks good!

I am saying Lava Orange is not common and that it should be the new black as there are never enough opted with that colour. It’s a great colour
Good question.
Have similar dilemma for a touring.
Really like shark blue, but intention of the touring is to be discrete for daily use, and therefore looking at crayon and agate with gold wheels. Almost went crayon on 991 GT3, but there now seems to ne a lot of crayon Porsches around as so readily available.

A good gallery of PTS of "Rare Shades", an event to showcase Porsches in rare, unusual, and paint-to-sample colors at Canepa Design in Scotts Valley, California.

I was hoping for the thread to only discuss standard non PTS colours as a PTS slot is obviously even harder to get
Thanks

I have deleted my link then, If you do the same in your reply it should help. not derail the thread - sorry about that, just thought it was a good gallery of content.
Well, nobody picked it but I've just paid my deposit for Gentian with Neodyme wheels and black trim pack. Couldn't get a PTS slot with PCCB's so had to stick to the standard palette. Hit me with your critiques, I can take it!

Maybe you can link to the Porsche code for your build?

PCCB's are out of stock for Turbo S and GT3 so you'll get an error code. But this is the build, with confirmed PCCB's added and build slot July.

For the winged GT3 in a stock colour, that would be my choice of body and wheel colours. As the owner of this car, I'd forked out the money for black calipers as the red ones clash with the Neodyne wheels IMO

Already posted a photo of this on another thread, it looks stunning in the flesh.
The wheels are wrong, needs black or dark wheels for that colour (IMHO)

OPC Leeds have just delivered one in the same colour with black wheels (plate no. PO22CHE). Looked great.

I went Python green but wasn't easy to not go with shark blue. Really love Python green ever since first time when I immediately thought "that's a GT colour!". Shows shape really well the way it picks up light. I think Guards really suits 992 gt3, possibly because of black section at front. It's also pretty smart £ and option wise. If pts I'd say Gulf or Pastel orange

I have some older cars in my garage including my old 997RS which is not dissimilar:
