Thanks in advance. I did a search here and at ******** for the following problem:
2 days of "system fault - return to workshop" with no other lights or problems. Comes on after engine start. Goes away when I change light switch position OR when I activate the turn signal. Comes back on again 5 seconds after light switch position change or signal deactivation. Brake light activation has no effect.
I have been driving a lot. Have some LED lights in parking and side markers but they are the CAN compatible type and have been running fine for over 3 months/500 miles.
There are no weak starts, I haven't wiped my headlights down with a micro fiber, and the car has not been wet since I've owned it last 600 miles. Total mileage 70K, not on original battery.
I'll durametric read
next
week and add to this post. This is my first fault on the car and I really want to do my own maintenance and troubleshooting. Hoping someone may have a clue. I'll do my part as I learn more!
Ciao!

Solved!
C127 Front Control Unit (Comfort)
Cleared all faults via durametric after checking if any stored faults were important, none were. Then ran a short scan on all modules which showed the C127 still tripping as the only fault for the whole car. The solution came to me when I realized it showed up under two categories...electronics (instrument cluster) and under Front Latch (Comfort). So, I popped the frunck and actuated the inside safety release three times followed by resetting the Front Control Module. All notices are now gone and have not come back after 50 more miles of driving.
Weird car really! How my turn signals can have a darned thing to do with a safety latch on the frunck.
Anyway, hood that helps someone. I learned that these control units probably don't need replacing as I've read on other posts. I think this and other similar flags are a
Porsche
cash cow and a $200 cable and a little time can probably resolve many of them for less than a trip to the dealership.
More help in case this comes up again for anyone else...if you get a "System Fault - visit workshop" then do a search for C127.
My only 2 cents would be to actuate your emergency frunk latch a few times and then actually reset the module via durametric before forking over $500 bucks to replace the front control module.
Sorry...do the search for C127 on ********...P9 has no hits for it...bummer! This is totally not a hit on P9 by the way, just trying to help.
