Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I went to the porsche site and could not find any. Does anybody have a link or info on the new car?? When does it come to the U.S.?? How much?? spec's?? etc.. thanks.

POST 2Original post

The C4S is scheduled to come into the country in January. The performance is the same as the 2002 996, except that it is a tenth of a second slower in the 0-100km/h due to the increased weight of the 4 wheel drive system. It has the Turbo suspension, wheels and brakes as well as PSM. It has the metallic color paints as standard as are the full-leather interiors. The high fi sound is also standard. It has the turbo style body except that it has the red lamp strip between the taillights and does not have the side air intakes. It also has a conventional 996 spoiler. There are very few options available. All the dealers think that the only neceessary option is the advanced technic package with the bixenon headlights and Bose sound system , which is supposed to be a tremendous upgrade. The sports seats is a no charge option. The list is $80,200. It would cost the same to outfit a C2 with all of the standard stuff on the C4S and you would not have the turbo styling and suspension and brakes. The C4S will be a rarer model with most dealers being alloted 1 per month. Some places to look for info are: Suncoast Porsche which has the order guide that can be viewed using adobe acrobat Also Autoweek has a listing on the site with porsche links and there is an article there. Additionally, the specs are on:http:www.0-100.it/porsche/996/c4s/english.htm

POST 3Original post

There is some info and some pictures on the Porsche web site, as of today. The configurator is basically a waste of time, as all that is accurate there are the color offerings(although it states that metallic colors are an additional charge, which they are not). There are many inaccuracies otherwise.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
