I'm thinking about rigging a small thumb tack or something similar over the reset hole with some scotch tape so I don't have to keep sticking a pen in there every time.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey sixspeed, was the update easy, do you have any steps?
i have literally just got mine working after 3 days of messing with fibre cables and that message on startup would be good to clear off.
Very simple. I Just dragged and dropped the file on a USB thumb drive and plugged it into the system while it was powered on. As per the instructions, make sure you disconnect your iPod first. It resets the
PCM
a few times. Took less than 2 minutes. Unplug the USB stick and that's it.
Very simple to update (one of the better features of the Dension we sell), and yes, 0050 released last week (we've been in beta on this for a few weeks).
Give it a go, report back as needed.
Well...the CD Changer error is back. My nav, phone and CD are also getting knocked out after sitting for a few days. Finding myself having to reset the unit more often now than when I had v0047. I'm thinking about rigging a small thumb tack or something similar over the reset hole with some scotch tape so I don't have to keep sticking a pen in there every time. Ghetto, I know. A little disappointed with this unit. Thinking I should've went with an Alpine touch screen head unit. I wanted to keep the interior OEM looking. I guess I can live with it for now. Maybe by the time they release v9,999 in the year 2020 they'll have these bugs sorted. By then iPod cables, USB's, AUX inputs and the like will have gone by way of the 8 track, cassettes and CD changers...
I don't know what version I am on, but it seems to work quite well. What does the new firmware provide if anything? Is there a changes.txt file or something listing new features/fixes? I don't want to update and have problems when my current version is working fine. I only get the dreaded CD Changer Not Found message once in a blue moon and when I do I simply power off the car, wait a few minutes and power on again and it works.

Update: Today while running errands, the CD Changer error only came on once out of 5-6 start ups. My BT phone still doesn't connect until I've had a failed call, then it works fine. Eric (plug Guy) has been trying to help me sort it out. When this thing works, it's great, but when it doesn't, it's annoying. Hard resets have been the norm, after letting the car sit for a few days.
