Not a problem post but just a note that Google maps app on an iPhone (4s in my case) will give turn by turn navigation thru the CDR 30 speakers. It works really well and is good enough that I have stored away my Garmin and will only use it when on scenic drives in rural areas which don't have 4g coverage. You can even set the volume for the turn by turn instructions at a different level to the music you are listening to by setting the volume during the instructions. Music is faded during instructions same as during a telephone call over bluetooth. Apple's map app on the other hand does not transmit it's audio turn by turn via the bluetooth to the CDR30.

How did you get the music and maps to play on the CDR30? Does this only work of the iphone? My S4 only works as a phone.

Only the Google maps turn by turn comes over through Bluetooth. Music still requires a cable to the auxiliary port. So does The regular Apple maps navigation in the iPhone. Just stumbled on it as I prefer Google to the Apple maps because their points of interest are more complete.
