Running the wiring is straightforward: run it under the carpeting in the trunk, route the wires left of the engine compartment, then up behind the dash.

I'm going to take the plunge and replace the CDR24 (with Bose) in my '06 Boxster S. Going to install the Avic-z15BH using Euromotorspeed's MOST HUR, adding Satellite radio, and backup camera. Loi, I'm sure you'll be getting tired of my questions soon. I've been looking at all the threads on head unit installs and they've been a lot of help. Thanks to all who have done this before and posted their experiences. Wanted to find out what backup camera folks use? Any experiences with the image/quality on the TaoTronics cameras? Not sure if I should do a wireless or wired camera (leaning towards wired). If wired, any suggestions on how to best run the wire from the bumper to the head unit? Thanks in advance for the help. I installed a TaoTronics on my DD (2013 Jetta TDI) recently, it's actually quite good and very inexpensive Amazon.com: TaoTronics® TT-CC17 Waterproof Color CMOS Car License Plate Frame Mount Rear View Backup Camera with 8 IR LED Night Vision (170 Degree Viewing Angle / Distance Scale Line / Zinc Metal Casing / Siver): Car Electronics I installed a Pioneer camera on my Cayman, it doesn't work very well cuz what you see (mostly) is exhaust.. in hindsight (pun intended) I probably wouldn't bother installing a camera on a car with the exhaust so close to the camera mount. My camera is on the underside of my Escort 9500ci jammer, just over the "S" in my license plate Running the wiring is straightforward: run it under the carpeting in the trunk, route the wires left of the engine compartment, then up behind the dash.

Good point. Never thought of that. I assume you mean the steam/water vapor after a cold start. But doesn't it clear-up after the engine/exhaust heats-up? If so, it is probably a bigger issue up north in the winter.
