Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Any thoughts as to why it worked after playing a couple of CDs and it wouldn't work before playing the CDs.

POST 1Original post

I have been watching and reading this forum for a few months. I love all the information. I took the plunge and bought a 2011 Cayman black on black. I flew to Newport CA. and drove it back from the dealer up to the Seattle area. I love the car. Many years ago I had a 911 Targa air cooled and say I always would have another Porsche. I love the look of the midengine and so here I am with a Cayman. I have the PCM system and when I play a CD I can touch the skip track button and it skips to the next track. When I try to do this with my Iphone it will not skill to the next track but will fast forward. I tried touching the skip back button to go back one track and it does it fine and if I bold it down long enough it will rewind but I can not get it to skip forward one track. As I said it only does fast forward till I get to the nect track. Since it works fine with the CD in it I am wondering if there is really a problems with the PCM or if it is my Iphone that is the problem. Does anyone have any experience with this? I certainly love this car as it just puts a smile on my face when I just start it up. As I drive it the smile only gets larger. Thanks for any thought you might have and I am so glad I found this forum Midnight Shadow

POST 3Original post

Tried a CD and the skip button worked perfectly. Played a few CDs and then went back to iPhone. I hit the skip song button and it skipped like it should have in the beginning. I don't know what the problem was but it is working now. Midnight Shadow
