Used ones sell for nearly the same as new. So, unless you get lucky (finding an idiot) just go ahead and buy one from Durametric. You can always resell it for top $$$. In reality, it is cheaper to buy a Pro than an Enthusiast when you figure-in the resale value. Also, its nice to be able to help out a buddy (or fellow P-9 member) with the Pro without diminishing the net value. I figure an Enthusiast devalues 1/3 its MSRP value for each VIN used. All of that doesn't even take into account the extra power (feature wise) that comes with the Pro. Just sayin:beer:

I purchased a pro for a song. But the seller was having a fire sale on all of his pcar items as he had recently sold his car and didn't plan to get into another one. But as Rschwerer indicated, these deals are few and far between. If you have r the luxury of waiting, then no issues. But these really pop up for sale and when they do, they're not at a huge savings over new. Before I purchased mine, I fellow P9er let me use his. (I thanked him via hops and barley.) I wonder if Durametric will service a pro version if not the original buyer. They do break once in a while like the one my shop had.
