On the Gen2 PCM 3.0 is there a screensaver function? my current car allows you to turn off the display and show a clock or manufacturers logo. Does the Porsche do this? couldnt figure out how on my test drive.

You can turn off the display or have it set to display radio/cd info on PCM2.1...think it would work about the same.

Thats a shame because my current cars display looks nice with the manufacturer splash screen showing or an analogue clock when you dont want the brightness of the display as you are not using it.

I know what you mean. On the Land Rover it gives a nice big logo as a screensaver, and it would be nice on the 987.

The porsche logo does come on the screen when you start the car...wonder if you could program it to be on with the push of a button.

Yeah when I first got the car I thought well surely there must be a setting to allow it to stay on.....but I haven't found it yet.
