Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hi all, having a blast with my 2007CS that I got last Dec.144,500miles thaen 150,00 now and running nicely. I just spent 2 hours trying to find info on removing the chronometer from the dsh. I want to replace it with an oil pressure gauge. maybe I'm not searching correctly. If you know where this info is please help. BTW, do not buy this front spoiler for your Cayman uraflex® - GT3-R Style Fiberglass Front Bumper Lip Under Spoiler Air Dam (Unpainted) . It dose not fit the Cayman spoiler mounting profile. I spent a week on&off cutting and glassing to get it to fit and it is 50-50: at 50 feet away at 50 mph it is good. Up close not so much. I painted to match the artic silver of the car, now I think it should be satin or flat black.

POST 2Original post

If you figure this out, save it to sell: it's easy to retrofit a non-sc car with the button, but SCCA requires a full retrofit w/ wart to be class legal and someone out there is frustrated trying to find one.

POST 3Original post

sjfehr, "button" not sure what you mean? I want to remove the chrono instrument itself. I found it, from Blueblast in 2008, here it is:"The SCicon is held in place by 4 tension clips underneath. No screws. To remove it you get a rigid, thin blade, and insert it from the side between the housing and the dashboard, and then pry up. you can put down a strip of tape on the dashboard to protect it. I used a plastic pry tool for removing bicycle tires, since it had the right bend at the end of the tool. Pry one side, then the other. It just pops out." this sounds right. anybody want to chime in before I proceed? Thanks

POST 4Original post

I think he means that trackers that want to add Sport Chrono in a car that it didn't come with as original equipment need to add the clock/wart as well to be SCCA legal. If you figure out how to remove the clock/wart and replace it with an oil pressure gauge, you should be able to sell the clock/wart.

POST 5Original post

ok guys, thanks, going to try to pop that thing off the dash.
