Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey folks, So in the next week I'll be in the market for a Boxster 986 S facelift. I've been very interested in the 'oettle' modification for the exhaust, but I have a question. To do it, you obviously drill holes in the pipes going into the back box, drill holes into the tips, then weld pipes between the two. But if it's just going into the tips, does it need pipes at all? Would there be any harm, or difference in sound, if there were just neat holes drilled in the pipes that go into the back box? Thanks, hope to see more of you guys soon (first post by the way). Geraint.

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

You know what, scrap that. After test driving one I've realised it's loud enough! Completely didn't expect it! Sounds beautiful as is
