I'm ordering a second badge that will be based on the original, full-size version in the same colors as this one, but with no enamel fill behind the antlers (left bare/polished metal).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Finally made my first non-functional mod ever for this car. Not a fan of the pimptastic gold badging, and finally contacted Jim over at Porsche custom Crests for one of his automotive works of art. Ordered a "kurz" (short) version without the Porsche banner across the top, and had it match my car's basic color combination of blue, black and silver. It arrived on Friday, and finally had time to mount it today: Jim did a fantastic job, shortened the crest and relocated the mounting pins to ensure proper alignment for the top of the badge. Will get a better pic after it stops raining and I roll the car out of the garage, but bottom line is that Jim's work is peerless...truly a piece of autimotive art. I'm ordering a second badge that will be based on the original, full-size version in the same colors as this one, but with no enamel fill behind the antlers (left bare/polished metal). I want to look at them side by side before I decide which will stay on the car.

POST 2Original post

Boy, it's really time to repaint the hood! I choose to think of them as reflected constellations in the sky! A couple more...

POST 3Original post

I really like that look better than the factory, my car is the same color with about the same amount of chips on the hood, that means the car is having fun being driven.

POST 4Original post

Looks really nice in pics. I bet it looks better in real life. cool.

POST 5Original post

So I found some more pics from Jim... somehow wound up in my spam email folder. Much better pics than my what I could do on an iPad out in front of my house with a dirty car!

POST 6Original post

I tried to find his website but the link on the Facebook page is not working? I already have a custom crest for the hood but was considering the ones on the wheels to match... Although not from Jim this is what is on my blue car...

POST 7Original post

Can't recall exactly how I found him...think it was through an old post on the Pelican Parts forum. No affiliation, but here's his facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Porschecrestscom-390130604461406/ And the email I used to contact him is: [email removed] Very, very pleased with his work and can't recommend him highly enough...

POST 8Original post

those custom crests look pretty good. nice touch with the colour matching too!

POST 9Original post

thanks for the details, I will check it out when I get a chance!

POST 10Original post

Second crest arrived... Now to decide which one will stay on the car!
