I need some help finding a mechanic in the bay area preferably in San Francisco or close by in the bay area. After reading how to install the shifter I said looks darn difficult for me to attempt. Here is a link from the guys at www.babblers.org that will show you step by step how to install. Much easier than it looks. You might also want to check pete's boxster board (www.986board.com) this is a very common mod and very well documented with all kinds of tips. Rod
