Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Hey guys, Just wanted to let you know that I had an IPD Power Intake Plenum installed yesterday at Mckenna Porsche in Norwalk, CA. So far, I am very satisfied with this product. Although my ECU has not yet fully adjusted to this new mod, I can definitely say that it makes a big difference, especially on the top end. I can't really tell a difference on the low end, but it is clear to me that the air flow has been dramatically improved, the car is producing more hp and is much more responsive from say 60 mph to 100+ mph (almost scary how the car just comes to life when you jump on it). Just how much more hp, I can't say, but it is enough to be able to recognize the difference. For reference purposes, to date, I have done the following performance mods, in addition to the IPD Intake Plenum: -ECU upgrade -Rinspeed Power Kit (headers, cats, exhaust, etc.) -K&N Filter I will keep you all posted on any additional impressions I have within the next few weeks as my ECU continues to adjust to this mod.

POST 2Original post

This is the last engine mod I am going to consider ,( having already done the desnork, evo v-flow, softronic ecu , and I have the full Capristo exhaust on order ) so really looking forward to more details . Are you going to dyno the car ? Whens Ken getting his ? he's bound to dyno it

POST 3Original post

richcross, Funny, I was on the phone with Mike from IPD when he took your car for the test drive. He was very impressed how your car runs, especially with the tiptronic. He also pointed out the impressive sound of your car! Have fun, enjoy the plenum.

POST 4Original post

any back to back dynos of this product on the cayman/boxter yet?

POST 5Original post

If it really adds 30HP that is a good mod. I am looking forward to seeing dynos too.

POST 6Original post

The new ones arrived today, so those will be installed and tested as soon as I can get some dyno time at IA.

POST 7Original post

I am guessing the valves that are on the plenum are in the new one as well?

POST 8Original post

Are you refering to the valve for the '2 stage intake plenum'? If so, I think the answer is 'no'.

POST 9Original post

No valves in the new plenums. Looks like next week is as early as I can get in for some dyno time at IA so install won't happen until then now I'm afraid.
