Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Has anyone using the JIC Cross coilovers experienced excesive wear on the JIC internal bushings, or the pillowtop mounting plates starting to rattle? I want to install them on my CS (non PASM) but I am wandering if these struts will hold up after many miles to come, before you have to disassembly them for a rebuilt. Originally I was considering the PSS9's but it seems that the JIC Cross have more capabilities, like more adjustments, camber plates and are generally more performance oriented than the PSS9's. Any comments will be greatly appreciated, Gilles PS, Another option would be the KW V3 (?), however I have a little time to decide since the car only has so far 1200 miles

POST 2Original post

I just had mine installed. I couldn't answer that question for you but I will say the system is very very good.

POST 3Original post

My JICs have about 18K on them now. Recently the left front strut bearing/camber plate has begun to "click". I have to go to FBL soon so I'll have it checked out. It should be warranteed by them....... Are the camberplates and having 15 settings vs. 9 worth 2x the cost of PSS9s? Having had PSS9s in my last two cars, I'd have to say no.

POST 4Original post

interesting comparison, thanks Morefun wrote: Are the camberplates and having 15 settings vs. 9 worth 2x the cost of PSS9s? I guess that I will have to decide between the PSS9's, and the KW V3's, thank you for your comments!

POST 5Original post

I don't have back to back experience with the PSS9s & JICs in a CS (anybody?) but, for Street/DE applications I'll bet the performance differential is nil. I got the JICs because the PSS9s were not available at the time......
