Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
@chrisp911: You can put the 996 TT Motor in any 996, but keep in mind you have to change the tranny with it and some other stuff.
Leading evidence: 'Replace tranny' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace tranny' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey all,
I’ve looked around all the forums and I can’t find anyone who has tried 18x10 offset 40 wheels on a narrow body 2003 996. I know stock was 65 offset so about an inch further out. Guessing no good from eyeballing it but thought I’d see if anyone has tried it.
Thanks.
yes, i looked for it too and everybody told me that a C4s cannot be converted to TT.
So either sell the C4s and spend 10-12K more to get a 996TT or buy aftermarket conversion turbos from another company

Nope. They made them widebodies on the 997, but the 996 RS is a narrow body.
@chrisp911: You can put the 996 TT Motor in any 996, but keep in mind you have to change the tranny with it and some other stuff. 996 TT Engine is a GT1 block, which is very different from the Carrera Blocks. Putting a GT1 Block in a Carrera would cost so much you might as well buy a turbo or GT2. Would probably be cheaper.

I have been searching around for a 996 C4S and ran across someone touting their 2003 as the same body as the turbo wide body but not the same as a 2002 C4S (which they claimed not to be the same wide body). I thought as you did Zookie, any truth to this sellers claim?
