I clicked on TPC's banner above.
THATS IMPRESSIVE, at just 5.5 psi. Just what the doctor ordered.
Would be like 480 HP, assuming 12% loss, correct?
I would estimate like 3.4 sec 0-60 and flat 11 on the quarte mile. Any take?
Thats equal or better than a GT2 ? Damn..
I already sent TCP my inquire, besides sorting out overseas instalation issues, will need to know what kind of guarantee they will be offering and when will the kit be ready for shipping.
I am also waiting on KmanS to post more data/info on this. Perhaps he will be the first one to jump in?
Anyone else considering? Group buy?

It is impressive, that is for sure. You should check this thread out from our news section:

Also, K-Man S has a couple of podcasts with the owner that you should listen to;

GT3 is putting dow 380 to the wheels assuming that we use 15% loss and is running a 12 flat quarter mile. So im not so sure about an 11 flat quarter
I call for an Orton/TPC cage match!
Dave only when we have our RSC 700 finished
Anyone knows when the turbo kit is being released?
Last time I talked to TPC, the timeframe was Decemberish.
damnit. Last I heard was a month ago and it was suppose to be November. Guess ill have to keep on waiting
Damn, thats a long summer :argue:
for sure something is not going as planned....perhaps its true what I read somewheere that a turbo in a Cayman is a no-no. Go figure
Turbo kit, anyone?
TPC and SOftronic
Softronic has just started to work with TPC in the binary mapping of their Turbo kit. While Softronic will provide the highest standards in programming TPC will be selling and installing these kits.
Best,
Softronic Team
Thats good news Scott ! Thanks....
I would be interested in your idea of a group buy in '08. With the added punch it would be the perfect fun car!!
Scott, a question for you. If I add a turbo kit (say TPC), will the new RSS/IPD plenum still work? Or will the Turbo kit has a plenum of its own?
I wnat to get this plenun, but I dont what to buy it later knowing it will be removed. Same applies to your nice chip upgrade for now.
Turbo with a tiptronic??? Will this mean a tip will go faster than a stick if both are fitted with turbos according to the 997TT specs?
As I recall, the 911 Turbo tip has a wholly different transmission.... I don't even know if it would bolt up to the cayman motor.
And I'm fairly certain that the cayman tiptronic was not designed with 480lbs in mind... someone please correct me....
