Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

does anybody know if the front discs on a 4S are the same size as the rears?
If so - any reason why I can't swap them and put fronts on rears and vice versa??
Fronts are slightly grooved but rears are good as gold... :dont know:

All make a massive difference! :thumb:
I'm saving up for 2 part front discs, they won't heat up as much but they're about £1800 for a pair!!
You can upgrade to two-piece 350mm discs for much less than £1800. Have a look here

EDIT : Sorry, slight brain fade, the 350mm discs even with the calliper spacers are not a direct bolt on for the 4wd cars. The can be fitted but the pad support pins at the base of the calliper just foul the discs. Most places just grind them back a little.
At the bottom of the page there are some brembo two piece items that will go straight on.
i have replaced my rears recently and the discs which were gen. and were `sebro` and the pads were gen. and were textar.
the pads had the same textar no. stamped in the pad backing plate with the porsche sticker with the `VP` emblem and the part no. stuck on top and yellow & white lines painted on the pads.
the gen disc has the part no. complete with min. thickness vibro-etched somewhere on the no working surface and a stamp, `R` in a circle in white on the disc/wheel mating face.
i presume for a quick ID by our OPC tech guys!
unless i have `made in taiwan` brakes!!!!! [/quote]
