Hi All, I need to find a supplier for some outer seals for my gearbox, Porsche only supply the inner seal for this unit, any suggestions as to where I can find any? As you are all probably aware the gearbox is actually a Mercedies part! Thanks

Is this the seal between the gearbox and transfer box? If it is, it is not available separately and Porsche sell you a whole gearbox instead. However, I've heard of independents who repair the leak between the gearbox and transfer box by making up a gasket. Again, a Porsche independent would be better placed to give this advice.

The box is a variant of the Mercedes 722.6 unit, used on (amongst others) the early ML320s. As Minny says, the difficult one is the transfer box gasket, as it is specific to the Porsche variant of the box. My Indy got a gasket set from Euro Car Parts, but had to make the transfer box gasket. I have some parts lists for the basic 722.6, and if you drop me a PM with your email address I can send you a copy.

Update - The Cam cover seal and the torque convertor seal have both been replaced, so I am hoping on now having a leak free car! On a different note - my wife went to pick the car up from the garage this evening, when she hit the key fob to open the doors the alarm went off and the battery was flat, this is weird as the garage drove the car yesterday to road test after fixing the leaks, I am hoping it is just the case of a flat battery unless anyone can tell me different? Thanks
