Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I used MPS's on my C2 and they were by far the best I tried in every respect- wear, noise, and grip.
Leading evidence: 'Use mps's' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Set than the michelins' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suggestion
I have Bridgestones on mine and very pleased with them so far - good wear, good grip and about £200 less for the set than the Michelins...

Suggestion
Have all these michelin supporters actually conducted a scientific test on them against everything else?

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

OK, so it looks like I'm going to need 4 new tyres before I get my geometry set up. Two are on the limit (and a little under here and there) and one has a nail in it and has a slow puncture.
The car is used a daily driver and will do the odd track day next year.
I've trawled this forum but cant find a post with the definative choice.
So, what would you recommend and why. I appreciate they've got to be N rated.

I don't have a Turbo, but getting shod in Continental Sport Contact2 N2 in a couple of weeks (to replace very same tyres now I have had too much fun).
Having full geo too.
Dave is right if you want N rated. Contis are cr*p on the Turbo. If you get 4000 miles out of the rears, you will be lucky. Ask me how I know - twice.
I use Yokohama Advan Sport V103s on mine. Brilliant.
Richard H,
So any thoughts on general use for the Michelins? (ie C2/C4)
Mine lasted about 7k+ miles, which for me is just over two years. So time-wise, happy to swap out every two years with geo (technically they have 2-3mm left, but I can't be bothered to keep checking if they're still legal).
Do the harder Michelins require more heat to work nicely?
Turbo tyres
Michelin pilot sport 2s are the only way to go!!
If it is of any interest I was just about to put a nearly new set of 295 30 18 n1 mps2s on eBay. These tyres are in perfect condition, no punctures and with at least 6 mm of tread all over.
I am looking for £ 300 for the pair. Kind regards, Callum.
can someone confirm, is it ok to fit tyres to a porsche without N ratings on them ? im looking at some Yokohama AVS Sport that dont have the N rating on them..
I used MPS's on my C2 and they were by far the best I tried in every respect- wear, noise, and grip. The most expensive though, but worth it IMO. I only tried the Yokos on the Turbo as I fancied being a rebel for a change.
I don't know what happened to Contis. My brother had them on his C4 and used to get 12000 from the rears. These days, I've heard quite a few people say 4-5000 was all they got. The N rating hasn't changed, so it's a bit of a mystery.
OK, Michelin Pilot Sport 2's get the nod.
I notice when searching there is an MPS '3'.
If I got these, would they make me faster than most of you?

Michelin Pilot Sports. And just to wind things up I have N1s on the front and N3s on the back.
"Pigeons, cat, the, amongst, put, that, should." (Rearrange as desired)
I have to say I'm bemused by all these "must have Michelin Pilot Cup tyres on a Porsche"... Have all these michelin supporters actually conducted a scientific test on them against everything else? Or is this another bit of Internet forum folklore?
I have Bridgestones on mine and very pleased with them so far - good wear, good grip and about £200 less for the set than the Michelins...
But obviously they can't cope with high speeds or something...
