IMO the 2 wheel 996's feel unique and nimble compared to the the 4wd (inc TT) 996's, which feel more like any other run of the mile pretendy 4wd car.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Had my tt a year now with a remap and millteck great car its a 2000 model with 64k on the clock.I have the chance of a 996 gt2 with rmap and tubi exhaust comfort pack .Will it feel laggy after the tt but hold its value and feel more of a drivers car.
Spanner: I've driven TT, C4, C4S and C2's, never been near a GT2! IMO the 2 wheel 996's feel unique and nimble compared to the the 4wd (inc TT) 996's, which feel more like any other run of the mile pretendy 4wd car. That is not to say they are crap but they definitely don't have the 911 unique driving feel. A GT2 may offer this 'feel' and, being rarer, I would think would hold value as well as GT3 if not better. Plus if you master a GT2 you will be truly my hero. Laggy??? That'll be the wheels spinning up...
GT2's are scary and unpredictable(the hype is fact). If you like playing with fire/on the edge then buy one, it's a hoot. Ignore all the garbage about it being easy to drive etc as its just utter rubbish. They are difficult to drive fast and have a very narrow bandwidth of tolerance for the unskilled/unwary. They are hardcore/hardwork and frustrating machines, like nothing you will ever drive......but oh just so good when you manage to hook it all together on a track or a fast a-road!
If you want a fast 911 that can do 80% of what a GT2 can with more comfort and refinement then the 996TT is the way to go.
If I had the choice of having only one 911, it would be the 996TT every time :thumb:
If I ever sell mine it won't be to anyone under 30 or to anyone who has no previous experience of 911's.
....and here's what they can do to GT3's(996 and 997's)
