They also rebaffle your existing mufflers, however that deletes the option to replace the custom mufflers with original mufflers.

I heard that SCarGo has custom headers that solved some problems a Boxster S owner had with another system blowing o2 sensors.
I have a 01 C4 and I'm looking at upgrading my exhaust. I heard that SCarGo has custom headers that solved some problems a Boxster S owner had with another system blowing o2 sensors. They also rebaffle your existing mufflers, however that deletes the option to replace the custom mufflers with original mufflers. I would like to hear about anyones experience with SCarGo, Gambella, FabSpeed and any other 996 header and muffler upgrades. I'm looking for performance, sound improvements without to much of an increase in sound in the cabin.

As the owner of Fabspeed I wont say too much or I will get "flamed" if you will. But one really cant effectively modify any 996 stock OEM muffler because its a 3 chambered reverse flow complicated situation. I posted a detailed picture on our website about 2 years ago. You cant make a silk purse out of a sows ear...youre wasting a lot of money on modifying stock 996 mufflers especially if youre after power and sound. Perhaps this is why Porcshe had to design very complicated elctro mechanical/vacuum operated muffler bypass pipes for 996s and Boxster as factory sportsound mufflers. This topic has been discussed and there is an article is Excellence last month on a Boxster which ironically "panned" the Porcshe ag sport exhaust as too complicated and too $3300+ damn expensive.
Try the different systems and there is an excellent sound post on the 996 board in MP3.
If you or anyone just want sportscar sound and some more power. Here is an alternative to consider and also look for for maximizing power in any 996. Fabspeed Motorsport has developed the ultimate 996 stock coldair airbox hipreformance upgrade/power enhancement kit for all 996 stock Porsche OEM 996 airboxes. Fabspeed offers a hiperformance upgrade kit for the 996 owner so he can replace several parts of his 996 airbox while maintaining his 996 coldairbox. You can add 25% better breathing/induction performance for any 996. Your gains are felt in the seat of your pants- in terms of power and you'll also witness noticeably better throttle response and more sportscar sound. Detailed photos and before and after shots on our website.
have a happy thanksgiving
