Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So the battery finally died on my 1999 c2 - and i think this was the original battery! (previous owner had car for 4 years a year ago and never changed it - and I never saw any receipts showing it was changed!) Been looking through the forums and it seems like the Bosch Silver is the one to go for. Seen it for 90 quid here: http://www.alpha-batteries.co.uk/bu...6-heavy-duty-car-battery-s3007-/prod_162.html Anyone recommend any alternatives? Going to order shortly so thought I'd run it past you guys (as I always end up getting some great advice)

POST 2Original post

Not sure that battery will actually fit. Maximum dimensions are 315mm long by 175mm wide by 175mm tall. Unless you need an "official" battery for warranty etc, don't bother with a Mol (the Porsche brand). Very expensive and not really very good. Plus only 2 years guarantee. Get a Varta (it is a rebadged Bosch, but cheaper) 315*175*175 mm 85 Ah and 800 CCA FIVE year warrany Varta Silver 585 200 080 (short code F18) = Bosch Silver 0092 S5 010 (short code S5 010) Go to somewhere like ManBat = approx £80 http://www.manbat.co.uk/ http://www.911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=56116
