Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

I am hoping someone can help. I fix one rattle, and get another(probably since the previous rattles heard the smaller ones). Driver's side, sorry not passenger. I hear a rattle/vibrating sound from the trim/door panel/behind the seat, I can't localize it. It doesn't seem to be the storage compartments. Any thoughts?

POST 2Original post

last post-should be driver side rattle. My last post should be driver side rattle.

POST 3Original post

Re: last post-should be driver side rattle. I have a similar issue with my 07 but only when the window is down. Sounds like my noise is coming from the belt tensioner.

POST 4Original post

Re: last post-should be driver side rattle. I have a similar problem with my 09 cs,any remedies?sounds like belt tensioner.

POST 5Original post

Do you have rear speakers? Maybe the speaker or grates are loose? My passenger side door speaker needed to be tightened down to subdue some rattles.

POST 6Original post

I dont have a solution, but i wanted to join in and say that i have the same raddle when my driver's side window is down and is appears to be the seat belt tensioner.

POST 7Original post

My car has just developed a rubbing sound somewhere in the cockpit, on the passengers side. Its a bit like a speaker is on its way out, but will happen when the radio is off and it is related to road surface - i.e. run over a bad bit of road surface and you hear the rubbing as the car damps out the initial bump......tried all pockets empty and the glove compartment empty and open/closed. anyone had similar?

POST 8Original post

I have had sounds fixed but I am not sure what you mean by a rubbing sound? Do you mean a squeeks, rattle etc?

POST 9Original post

Check the left front seat cushion corner of the passenger seat. If my seat is adjusted close to the dash, the corner rubs against the center console. It makes a plastic rubbing sound.

POST 10Original post

I'll just get my angle grinder out gtkyl . Thanks Cantrax - I'll give it a go. Spourreza - Yeah like a high pitched squeaky rubbing sound. Something is rubbing on something else, somewhere!

POST 11Original post

Let us know what you find. Hope that is it, it is easy to fix, just move the seat further back!!!

POST 12Original post

Try pushing the passenger seat a bit forward/untilt so it doesnt rub with the seat belt. I had a squeeking noise coming from the passenger side as well. Took it to Porsche, they replicated it and fixed the issue. I think something needed to be tightened. But maybe take it to the dealer. I also had a creaking noise coming from the glove which they fixed as well. Point is, the dealer can fix all this if you can replicate it which you should be able to.
