Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've got a 1999 Boxster with a Turbo Performance supercharger kit installed. The supercharger has been on for 18 months without problem. However, for the past few months, when cold, the engine wants to stall out as soon as the clutch starts to engage. It's always been kind of touchy but lately I have to slip the clutch at about 2500 rpm to keep it from dying. The dealer can't find anything wrong. Anybody have any suggestions???

POST 2Original post

Does it only do it when the car is cold? Even if it is cold out...does it do it when the car is hot? Might be to big a load on the engine when cold running that extra big belt for the blower. I'm sure you had to have some chip mods to get the blower to work..maybe they did not get the cold idle map right.. Just a thought...

Call TPC and ask them if anyone else has been having the same problem. Does the supercharger make a HUGE difference?? Do the tires smoke off the line under hard acceleration?? They are just finishing the kit for the 996. 5 lbs of boost a claimed 100 hp increase. Tell me about how your car drives. Thanx.
