HI Guys I have a question for you all.
When I sit in my seat with the engine running I feel this bump feeling every every few seconds , it is not consistent and sometimes there is two. I can only feel it in the seat. Some times it is worse then others.
It has been this way since I have had the car.
Could it be something wrong in the engine that is causing some kind of weird fire, or a bent rod?
I do not have any lights on, nor have have had any problems with the engine so far.
Or could it be something as simple as the light flywheel causing something like this, as I have felt this same feeling in a GT3.
Thanks for your help.
I think I know what you mean - I have a similar sensation and have put it down to how the engine idles - 13k miles later and its still just fine.
ok, great - talked to TPC, said it May be the plugs - so will change this out, and I may have a partially bad O2 sensor :-(
I can perform Porsche's most sophisticated diagnostic from right here and give you the official Porsche Engineering answer.
It looks like it is the result of modifications you have made.
Most likely the carbon fibre spears. Replace them with stock and send the carbon fibre parts to me. I will test them on my car for a couple of years an let you know how it goes.
Seriously though, hopefully Frank is OK. ;-)
For a split of a second I thought you were serious... and I believed you were God's answer for me (in case of future problems as I lost faith in mechanics and dealers).
but you were sarcastic
HAHAH !!! Nice... Not to helpful but nice
I will change out the plugs this weekend, with a one setting colder plug.
it's just the normal engine idling.
my 09 CS has done this since day 1 and there are other threads about this....the consensus is that it is normal.....assuming its not excessively rough. When my does it at idle, my RPMs remain stable and don't move.
Ok Guys and Girs, today I changed out the spark plus to NGK Iridium # 2667 - which is one step colder then normal , due to the boost I am running with TPC turbo.
I found this problem though. on the passenger side of the car, the bolt holding in the coil pack had fallen out ( even though I put blue lock tight on it ) and the other one was loose, so the whole coil pack was coming out.
The spark plug was still getting connection, but barely and I am sure not when I needed it most. there was a little black spot on the plug and on the coil pack too where I know it was arcing to get a spark :-(
So I replaced the coil pack as well. Started the car, idle is perfect once again.
Now time to go drive!
glad to hear that it is running like it should! Enjoy!
