Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Hello, the idle of my Cayman S seems to fluctuate (when fully warmed up) - it fluctuates up and down by ~100-200 RPM and can feel a bit rough a times. I thought this was only at idle, but today I noticed that the RPMs slightly fluctuate when driving at a constant engine speed as well (you can see the RPMs moving slightly at speed). The spark plugs have been replaced and the car has approximately 22k miles. Any thoughts regarding what could be causing this? Thanks for your help.

POST 2Original post

It could be a lot of things but you can try cleaning the MAF sensor. Just make sure you use a cleaner made for it. carb and choke cleaner may damage it.

POST 3Original post

I forgot to mention that I already tried cleaning the MAF sensor and that doesn't appear to be the cause of the problem.

POST 5Original post

My guess is some sort of vacuum leak. Have the AOS checked, make sure the oil cap is on and tight.

POST 6Original post

Coils were changed as well. Do the 2009s (987.2) have air oil separators, and if so, are they prone to problems? Oil cap is on tight. Thanks for your help.
