Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Hey guys I did a search but could not find the exact part I need. This weekend all of a sudden my driver door window would not stay down when I close the door. When I open the door, the window goes back down as it should but then goes back up again. Also my interior lights don't come on. I know its some door switch that is broken and is a common problem. I'm just not sure what the exact part number is. Is it on suncoast? I have been using them. Thanks

.. maybe you need a human to search for you.. or someone that actually knows the car very well.. or get someone who is very aggressive in the price match or beating. or a staff that scrambles to gets that package out to the UPS truck by the end of the day. or someone crazy enough to hang around 11pm eastern standard time to answer your question.. http://www.schnellautosports.com/door-lock-mechanism.html just maybe, lemon

Happens to Audi's too. It is a microswitch built into the door latch. On Audi's we have replaced with a microswitch from Radio Shack for $5.00 and a couple of hours of time. Here is some Porsche specific info----- Window not dropping when opening the door from inside (passenger) - 997-1 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 2S, Carrera 4S) - RennTech.org Forums
