Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just noticed that I appear to only have one rear fog light (right side), is this correct or have a lost a bulb, and if so why no blown bulb warning :?:

POST 2Original post

No its normal, only the offside will light up. A lot of cars are like this now as apparently having a fog light each side on can make the brake lights less noticeable.

POST 3Original post

Normal - offside light on right hookers, and nearside light on left hookers. It's nice of them to store a spare bulb in the holder for you though....

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys, saved me the hassle of removing the rear light unit in the rain only to find I didn't need to !

POST 5Original post

You can run a wire across from the other one if you fancy. The bulb holder etc is still there on the other side, in fact the bulb is probably in the holder too! Some modern cars have the "handedness" coded in the ECU, so it is simply a case of ticking the box on the software to turn the left one, right one or both on.

POST 6Original post

I understand what you mean, but the left hand side light on a left hand drive car is still the offside if you are driving it on the right hand side of the road!

POST 7Original post

Nicely spotted - since the datum is the kerb :what:

POST 8Original post

I always use LAT (lowest astronomical tide) as my absolute datum. Makes driving round Sidmouth in the fog a bit confusing though.
