Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
fibreglass bodykit bits often need more prep work to get them to look good so you 'may' spend more on the bodyshop bill then an OE set made of PU.
Leading evidence: 'Set made of pu' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Set made of pu' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just wanted some advice really.
I have not long purchased a 996.2 Convertible which ticked all my boxes apart from no side skirts. I have looked around for a set and have come across the ones that are sold through the Porsche Shop. The kit is the GT3 MK1 sideskirts replica versions.
What are your thoughts on these? Has anybody has else fitted these? Would you be put off buying a car that has replica sideskirts?
Thanks,
i would get the original ones if possible; they are twice the price of fibreglass copies but will fit perfectly, the paint job you have done is a really critical factor as sideskirts take a pounding stones etc so PU of original has more flex so 'may' not chip as easily as fibreglass, get a good paintjob done whatever you go for as a cheap quick job will look crap pretty quickly.

i guess would not be put off by replica skirts if the skirts looked ok, just would prefer OE ones.
should be able to get OE second hand ones off one of the specialist porsche breakers for the same cost as the fibreglass ones: if you get them in the correct colour you may be able to save a couple of hundred quid on respraying them if they can be polished up ok. Its pretty hard to beat the factory finish....
Thanks for the prompt reply and advice. I think I will see if I can get hold of a set of PU versions.
I would however love to know if anybody has completed this mod to understand how hard it was. Anybody?
Easy DIY. They (should) come with all this fixings and tape or glue. You attach the fixings to the underside and the glue/ tape to the body. When you buy them make sure you specify that you want ALL the fixings. There's a 'shop that sells Porsche parts' *cough* that reckons you only need half the fixing clips!!!
