Now, if I can't get a code, can I simply use the working front panel/screen on the original head unit?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 3Original post

Bumping an old post I know - sorry, but I can’t find my PCM code (I found the nav code) and having disconnected the battery. unit serial no. PO8000143499/09 MLFB; 5WK 78000A Or is this a drop into a Porsche dealer to look up? Thanks guys

POST 4Original post

Old post I know, but wonder if anyone can help? I thought unlock codes were not possible with the PCM1 from the serial? I'm hoping I'm wrong. I bought the car and the owner said he would get the code from Porsche, however the code is not working. Remembered he had the PCM1 replaced as he had the dead screen on the original. The replacement unit is as follows.... BE2580 Serial: 15089049 MLFB 5WK 78015 Now, if I can't get a code, can I simply use the working front panel/screen on the original head unit? Thanks in advance.
