Suggestion
I think some 19s will fit straight on a 996 without any modifications, depends on width / offset etc., I don't have the details to hand, sorry, but some people on here run 19s so hopefully someone else can help.

i am new to this forum and wonder if anyone has advice regarding changing wheel type on my 996 c4s. it is currently on 18" standard fitment but i would like to fit some 19" black wheels as car is Basalt Black. would 19" wheels go straight on doe,s anyone know?. any tips or advice gratefully recieved. many thanx.

Hi, welcome to the forum! :bye: I think some 19s will fit straight on a 996 without any modifications, depends on width / offset etc., I don't have the details to hand, sorry, but some people on here run 19s so hopefully someone else can help. However, general concensus (and my own personal opinion too) is don't do it, keep it standard - 19s will upset the ride, handling etc., not worth messing about with... :nooo:

i totally agree with you mate , 19 inch wheels really does mess with the handling .having tried it myself i would give it a miss . stick with 18's

I jave a 996 cabrio where the 17" were standard but 18" was an optional extra. I fitted the 18s for a few weeks, they looked better but the car was worse to drive. Put the 17s back on and it was a vast improvement. Lesson learnt about looks versus ride.
