Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

aftermarket LED's are very hit and miss for fitment.
987.2
slightly better.
Spyder
brand seem to be less crappy, but spendy.
The stock lights are easily tarted up with some higher quality LED bulbs for a lot less money.
I bought my bulbs for the whole car from deautokey dot com

I’ll check into that… I had a feeling team🇨🇳 could be hit and miss. I planned on tinting what I have… I’ll start there.. either a dark or medium might look cool with black car… little art work haha
If I may make a suggestion....
I've done a few tail light jobs.
Start with a light coat or two. Then mask off your reverse and/or signals areas and then continue to darken to the look you want.
Then wet sand and clear to smooth it out.
You don't lose the visibility and usefulness of the reverse (and turns)
It will look a million times nicer done that way with some nice bulb upgrades.
Good luck!

mine are currently all red wrapped. I planned on tinting all of it, but you think I should leave the clear- clear? Or do more than one layer and leave the clear with less layers?
Prep tail light
Then before masking, do a light even coat or two.
Then, if you like.... tape off the reverse section so it's darker than stock but still lighter than rest of tail.
Always wet sand and clear once masking is off to keep the job nice and smooth and pro looking.
This Touareg tail has a darkened reverse not as dark as rest of tail as an example.

It's easier than you think.
2000, 3000 and 4000 grit paper.
So long as your coats are nice and even and totally cured, you soak the paper and work your way thru 2000 to 3000 to 4000
Then spray with clear.
Then 4000
Then wax.
Looks like factory.
The sanding levels out any dust and imperfections

I purchased these 'factory red' for my '08 CS back in 2018. Installation was super easy, just a little fiddling around to get them perfectly positioned...but that could have been my OCD. Sorry I couldn't find a picture.
Ya I did the all red film on mine hoping for more of a CGT look, but it kinda screams early 2000’s,
So before I buy some

’s, I’ll try a dark or medium film over this. The red color messes with the fender line imo
Is yours tinted or a film or something?
This is the factory Euro Spec red tail lights on my old Atlas Grey 987.
Suncoast
Porsche
Parts has these in stock btw
This is the Factory red tail lights on my Basalt Black 987 S
I tinted them today… they look dark in the photo but they still show maroon with no lights on… I think it helps the fender line look complete. The entire light Bessel should be the size of the lights on photo.
