Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Cab roof, anyone know how to take out the lining to try to find the rattle I have developed? And possibly attack with worth. Driving me totally insane now the weather has turned.

POST 2Original post

Jester911, did the PDF files not help :?: I assume you got them :dont know:

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Porkerman, sorry I win the numpty of the week award :hand: I was rushing about and opened the two small ones and was wondering where the info was just revisited and realised I have some reading to do Thank you will let you know how I get on! :worship:

POST 4Original post

wondered how you got on, i too now have a anoying rattle/squeak comeing from behind the passenger seat area of the roof.. is it a matter of dowse every moving part in wd40 ?

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Moss, I ended up popping along to JZM who are fairly close by and Stephen dissappeared with the car for 15 mins and it came back all in working order it appeared that the nearside locating pin was rubbing slightly, plastic on plastic hence the squeak, so he adjusted it out and subsequently all quiet again! really good guy also gave it a general thumbs up, though wasnt looking into anything just the feel from the pootle round the lot. Not sure where you are based but well worth the help. Only downside is they had one of their tunned 996tt's with their sports exhaust, not the encouragement i needed with the new toy on its way! :hand: If you would like the PDFs that Porkerman sent be more than happy to wing them across.

POST 6Original post

Guys, Thanks for this info as I have been struggling to figure out how to resolve the rattle in the roof lining in my C4S I can stop the rattle with the lightest of pressures with my hand as I go along but driving along with one hand over your head is not the ultimate solution I feel. Given that I doubt my abilities to get amoungst the cab roof lining and sort myself I think I may well pop along to JZM as I hear good things about them and hearing they sorted a similar problem has made my decision clear. I won't even bother to tell you the response I got when enquiring if OPC fancied sorting it on good will! uh: Cheers all Chris

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Daktari, definitely speak to Stephen at JZM as for the OPC route, rang them first for a bit of advice before bringing it in. when after listening (not) to what I said the so called mechanic responded with sounds like your suspension needs looking at That ended the phone call pretty quickly. :dont know: Just be careful at JZM there are lots of toys to keep you entertained!!!

POST 8Original post

Can roof lining Top man Jester I will sort it out via them when I get the chance. Jeez OPC are frightening sometimes they really are-best one I had was after a major service they told me all about the car etc and then phoned me back saying sorry they had given me info about a different car-brilliant eh! As for extar toys at JZM it's going to be a real test of my resolve that to not but other stuff ;-) Thanks again! Daktari

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Classic, i shouldnt fault the OPC's too much but I was impressed by their over the phone diagnostic skills! slightly worrying, hope they gave you the right keys back, unless of course you had an OPC sponsored upgrade Definitely best to give the wallet to the other half for safe keeping, walked out with dreams of new exhausts, their remap and variuous other little ideas!! :hand: really going to miss the PSE on the tt.

POST 10Original post
