Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Well, I used the method of 'creeping expensiveness'.
Leading evidence: 'Use method of 'creeping expensiveness'' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). iHawk, don't stop at a walk-around, put your wife in passenger seat, take her for a test drive, and turn on the seat heat.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Well, my wife i getting a new kitchen now and my Caymen is coming in April. /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/regular_smile.gif
It also helped that we don't plan on having kids for another 3-4 years, so if i don't get a 2 seater now it probably won't happen once we have kids.
iHawk, just explain that the lack of back seat will prevent you from having an affair. /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/regular_smile.gif

One way mabe to let her drive it - if she is into cars in anyway I am sure she will like it. Some things that have been done and reported here are /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/regular_smile.gif

I am sure others will add - we need to help you to get this car /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/thumbsup.gif
I would just get it. When you bring it home, if she has a problem- tell her that you would have to hate to choose between her and the car but if she pushed you to choose one, keep in mind:
The Cayman doesn't talk back to you and when you put your foot down, the Caymanpurrs for you.
Well, I used the method of 'creeping expensiveness'. After miscellaneous and sundry sports cars (read cheap)I moved into a used 01 911 C4. Once I got the wife excited about the power, looks and overall 'P' factor, I slowly beat her w/subliminal, visual and audial messages of a Cayman. One day I came home and posed the question of a new Cayman - of course I insisted that the C4 would soon need brakes, clutch and sneakers. I also first wanted a base Cayman...but once the hook was firmly planted I slowly upgraded (by having her pick things like color and heated seats) until now I'm into a well loaded Cayman. I also let her know that the Cayman hips remind me of hers and whenever I'm driving I will be seeing her in my rear view mirror.
My duty here is done...
men
purchase, buy, consume and own! (please no offense to our few but valuable women Cayman owners, this is in no way sexist or gender specific!)

Maybe I have a lot of luck with my wife last year. When she saw the first spyshots about 11 months she convinced me to order the car as soon as possible/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/wink_smile.gif
Thanks to everyone for the comments. Drove her to the
dealership today (Sunday) just for a walk around. There
maybe hope! There is just something special about these
Cayman.
Heated Seats! I swear I had them in my previous car, and when I told my wife I would get them in the Cayman she was cool with it. iHawk, don't stop at a walk-around, put your wife in passenger seat, take her for a test drive, and turn on the seat heat. Don't even say anything, just press the button like you are adjusting something. In 10-15 minutes your problems will be over.
My wife still is not convinced I need this car! I was one of the brave but foolish ones who ordered it and then tried to find a way tobreak it toher, so don't ask me my friend.I think I am still in the doghouse even after a lot of nice jewelry for Christmas.
Russ
I had to go down the: "I am getting along in years (now 51), probably my last decade to comfortably drive a sports car (hopefully not), have come to the sad realisation that i will never own a nice yacht, lamborghini or ferrari, so I just have to get the Cayman" approach. Of course she does not, and never will understand the need for a Cayman, regardless of how much Porsche clothing/acceccories I threw at her, but I think she felt "sorry" enough to begrudgingly accept it as a fact of life.
I frequently remind my wife that when I drive to work with that famous Porsche grin that I am inspired and motivated to earn considerably more money for the day and therefore the car actually makes money rather than costing.
LOL,
My wife keeps asking me when I am going to teach her to drive a stick! That is a tough one being that the only stick in the family is a Cayman. What to do................
Russ
I Hawk
I had that problem at first. Then I told her my 993 did not have side airbags. That helped a bit and then I said just as Nscott54 mentioned. I'll be 52 this Feb and we can afford it now. Who knows what the future will bring.' I can always sell it' ha ha
Whatever you do, don't teach her how to drive a stick with the Cayman........find some beater, rent one, whatever.......just not the Cayman. After she has it down, then let her drive it.
RussK; be ready after you teach her, to buy one for her. I thought that I would NEVER get back into the driver seat when the wife started driving ours during our trip. I took pics of her smile while she tooled down the road at 90mph. Usually she is yelling at me to slow down, you drive too fast..... lol
