Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

I really need this fixed before wire breaks and then window stops all the way.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Rolled window down today to activate security gate and window would not go back up. I took the door panel off and had to force the window up while pushing button. Tried to look for problem, my guess is front wire feels worn and maybe frayed. Is there a DIY fix or is this a body shop job. I have done the front speakers, stereo change. I can do a little DIY and willing to try anything. Window is moving up and down when door opens but sounds bad and is slow so window hits top. I really need this fixed before wire breaks and then window stops all the way.
