Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Other than that, a satisfying experience to know that a Porsche dealership inspected your car for free for 45 mins or so.

Suggestion
Only thing was they didn't carry out a diagnostics check which is what I would have liked just to make sure all the electricals and whatnot were in working order.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Morning.
I couldn't make the Inspection Day at my local (Bristol) Porsche garage last week but they kindly agreed to hold an apopintment over until this Saturday.
I'd be interested in hearing whether any of you went last week, what it was like and whether it was a useful exercise?
Thanks.
They just did a basic winter check on mine and let me know of any issues coming up or existing.
Ive never seen the underside of a pork before so had a bit of a nose but apart from that nothing else to report, though i got to look at the race cars from the previous evening
Yep - took mine to OPC Hatfield last Saturday and they took it up on the ramps and did a check. Only thing was they didn't carry out a diagnostics check which is what I would have liked just to make sure all the electricals and whatnot were in working order.

Took my 993 last weekend. A very good experience - especially as mine passed with flying colours and no advisories :thumb:
Only thing they commented on on was wear patterns to both front offside tyres from the thread depth taken at 3 points across each tyre. Useful to know so I can get it sorted/checked before the tyres are knackered :thumb:
A very nice speedster was on the ramps next to mine :worship:
Took mine into the national HQ in Reading.
Got the car looked over by the head mechanic and the car got a clean bill of health. I had a problem with the alarm going off randomly and a beep from the horn when the car was locked and they fixed that for me, performed a diagnostic, put it up on the ramp, checked and topped up all the levels and tyre preassures. The Reading branch is the only one in the uk which can service the carrera gt and they had two of them on some ramps with body panels taken off so I got a one on one tour of those cars, so much carbon fibre! Also they had some absolutely mint classic mk1 911's on the ramps too which I got shown around including a wonderful green one.
They offered to give me a tour of all the classic cars in the Porsche centre but I didn't have time so had to go but it was great to get peace of mind that my car is a good one because I brought it earlier in the year. Will worth doing!
