Just got back from my dealer andmy first test drive of a new Cayman. The car was pretty much base, no sport chrono, PASM, 19's, but was it ever sweet. I was very impressed with the torque of the car. At 3K rpms in 6th it will accelerate briskly with a good seat of the pants feel. The sound, as many have mentioined, is awesome over 4500 rpms. Very guttural. The car was tight and responsive with averyagile feel. The ergonomics were perfect for my 5'9' frame and the fit and finish of the car was first rate. It just drove me crazy to drive it. My Feb. build car probably won't be here till March. My sales rep suggested that he could look around at other dealers to find me a car with the options I want but might not get my Artic Silver color as ordered. This car looks good in any color too. They had a Basalt Black with 19 classics that was beautiful. I almost wish I didn't take a test drive. I just have to have this car , but I suppose it's best to wait. I envy all you lucky owners with cars it hand. What a fine automobile!
