Hi, Further to my one other post, I picked up my 2002 996 Turbo yesterday - everything is great on it with the exception of the radio (in that it doesn't work). The autostore/frequency/setup icons display, but selecting frequency does nothing. SatNav appears to work fine, but no voice guidance and there appears to be no power going to the cd changer at the front of the car. In short, we get no sound out whatsoever (not even hiss). We have checked fuses D8 & 9. The garage has said they will sort it, but has anyone got any suggestions please? Thanks in advance.

As experienced on my old 996 Carrera, when it doesnt work, if it can't be fixed just bin it, anyway PCM is now very out of date best to replace with up to date after market unit

Thanks. Taken it to Gantspeed: http://www.gantspeed.co.uk/ who are local to me and they put it on the diagnostic pc. A new unit is in order. They have quoted £2800 inc vat for an exchange unit (!). Are there any replacement units which will slot in place of the old one without any messing about? Evans Halshaw appear to be playing ball at present - we will see what happens...
