Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Lately have been noticing a 150 - 200 momentary RPM jump (INCREASE) while driving. Over the past year, under hard acceleration, have experienced what seems like occasional lack of one or two cylinders firing, again only momentarily. Wondering if the two are related and the cause may be spark plugs and/or coils? 50K miles, some tracking and autocrossing over the last 1-1/2 years.

POST 2Original post

Spark plugs and coils are a good place to start, particularly if they've never been changed.

POST 3Original post

Plugs are due at 36k I think. Low mileage interval to keep them from sticking in the head and ruining the treads.
